By booking a session with Calista DCT Photography, you agree to the terms below.
1. Bookings & Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total session fee is required to secure your booking. Your date/time is only confirmed once the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due on the day of the shoot.
2. Booking Contract
Booking through this page reserves your date and confirms your agreement to these Terms & Conditions. A separate photography contract, covering the specifics of your session, will be sent for signature within 48 hours of booking. Your session is only fully confirmed once both the signed contract and deposit have been received.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before the session may be rescheduled once at no extra cost.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session forfeit the deposit.
- We reserve the right to reschedule due to illness, emergency, or unsafe weather conditions (for outdoor/event shoots), and will offer the next available date at no additional charge.
4. Late Arrivals
Sessions begin at the scheduled time. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened session at the same rate, to respect other clients’ bookings.
5. Image Delivery
Edited images are delivered within 1-2 weeks of the session via online gallery. Raw/unedited images are not provided. Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee.
6. Copyright & Usage Rights
Calista DCT Photography retains copyright of all images. Clients receive a personal-use license to print, share, and post delivered images. Commercial use (advertising, resale, or use by a third party) requires separate written permission.
We reserve the right to use session images for portfolio, website, and social media purposes unless the client opts out in writing before the session.
7. Model / Client Release
By booking, you confirm you have the right to consent on behalf of all individuals included in the session (including minors, where you are their parent/guardian).
8. Liability
While we take care with all equipment and locations, Calista DCT Photography is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage occurring during a session, except where caused by our negligence. In the unlikely event of equipment failure or file loss preventing delivery of images, our liability is limited to a full refund of fees paid.
9. Outdoor & Event Sessions
Weather-dependent sessions may be rescheduled at no cost if conditions make shooting unsafe or unworkable, at our discretion.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
